LED streetlights, traffic signals, and exterior lighting present an excellent opportunity for municipalities to reduce energy use and operating costs while improving public safety. The Regional Streetlight Procurement Program (RSLPP) helps guide municipalities through the process of converting to an LED streetlight system, removing key barriers at every step. By working cooperatively through the RSLPP, municipalities realize lower costs, benefit from shared technical expertise, and overcome procurement and contracting barriers to confidently navigate an LED streetlight conversion project. The RSLPP is designed to empower municipal staff to take control of energy efficiency upgrades that save thousands of dollars in energy costs annually.
